It suits anyone studying to a deadline: a university place to secure, an employer expecting a certain level, or a limited number of weeks and a lot to get through.

IELTS Exam Preparation

IELTS Preparation gets you ready for the test, not just for English in general. You work on all four papers — Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking — with the timing, the question types and the marking criteria that the examiners actually use.
Most of the course is practice under real conditions, with detailed feedback on where you are losing marks and what to change. You will sit full mock tests and get a predicted band score, so you know whether you are ready before you book.
You need at least a B1 level to join. Below that, start with General or Intensive English and move across when you are ready.
The exam is not included in your course fee. We prepare you for it; you book and pay for the test yourself at an official test centre. IELTS currently costs between AUD420 and AUD480 in Australia. We will tell you which centres are nearest and when the next sittings are.

Cambridge exams are different from IELTS: your certificate never expires, and it is graded at a fixed level rather than a band score. B2 First (FCE) and C1 Advanced (CAE) are the two most widely recognised.
The course covers all parts of the exam — Reading and Use of English, Writing, Listening and Speaking — with the emphasis on the Use of English paper, which is where most students lose marks. You practise under exam conditions throughout and sit full mock papers before you enter.

Switzerland requires this. Your CAINU accommodation booking or a lease both work. Book accommodation with us and we provide the confirmation.
Written commitment to leave
The cantonal authorities ask for a signed statement confirming you will leave Switzerland at the end of your studies. We give you the wording.

After you arrive you must apply for your residence permit with the cantonal migration office.
Cantonal approval means Swiss applications take longer than most. Allow three months.

General English builds the everyday language you need to live, work and study confidently in an English-speaking environment. Lessons cover the four core skills — speaking, listening, reading and writing — with the emphasis on real communication rather than grammar drills.
You are placed by level after a free placement test, so you study with people at the same stage. Classes are small enough that you speak in every lesson.
Open to students aged 16 and over, at any level from complete beginner to advanced. You choose how many weeks you study, and your class hours and campus are shown alongside this description.

Intensive English

Intensive English is our fastest route through the levels. You study half as many hours again as on the General English course, which means more time on each skill, more speaking practice, and more feedback on your work.
The content is the same four skills — speaking, listening, reading and writing — but you cover them properly rather than briefly. Most students move up a level in noticeably less time than on the standard course.
It suits anyone studying to a deadline: a university place to secure, an employer expecting a certain level, or a limited number of weeks and a lot to get through.

IELTS Exam Preparation
United Kingdom
IELTS Preparation gets you ready for the test, not just for English in general. You work on all four papers — Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking — with the timing, the question types and the marking criteria that the examiners actually use.
Most of the course is practice under real conditions, with detailed feedback on where you are losing marks and what to change. You will sit full mock tests and get a predicted band score, so you know whether you are ready before you book.
You need at least a B1 level to join. Below that, start with General or Intensive English and move across when you are ready.
The exam is not included in your course fee. We prepare you for it; you book and pay for the test yourself at an official test centre. IELTS currently costs between £170 to £220 in the UK, We will tell you which centres are nearest and when the next sittings are.

Cambridge FCE & CAE
United Kingdom
Cambridge exams are different from IELTS: your certificate never expires, and it is graded at a fixed level rather than a band score. B2 First (FCE) and C1 Advanced (CAE) are the two most widely recognised.
The course covers all parts of the exam — Reading and Use of English, Writing, Listening and Speaking — with the emphasis on the Use of English paper, which is where most students lose marks. You practise under exam conditions throughout and sit full mock papers before you enter.
You need at least B1 to prepare for B2 First, and B2 to prepare for C1 Advanced. We check your level with our free placement test and tell you honestly which one to aim for.
The exam is not included in your course fee. We prepare you for it; you book and pay for the test yourself at an authorised Cambridge centre. B2 First and C1 Advanced currently cost around £190–£210 in the UK,. We will tell you which centres are nearest and when the next sittings are.
